Nevanac (nepafenac ophthalmic suspension)

Nevanac (nepafenac ophthalmic suspension) 0.1%, Topical Ophthalmic (for the eyes) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to reduce pain and swelling after cataract surgery.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • headache,
  • feeling like something is in your eye,
  • eye redness,
  • stuffy nose.
  • vomiting, or
  • increased sensitivity to light, 
  • temporary stinging or burning in your eyes for 1-2 minutes when applied,
  • dry or sticky feeling in the eye,
  • itching or watering of the eye,
The following drugs are related to Nevanac, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Dextenza (dexamethasone ophthalmic insert)
  • Inveltys (loteprednol etabonate suspension)
