Neosporin Ophthalmic Ointment (neomycin, polymyxin and bacitracin zinc ophthalmic ointment)

Neosporin Ophthalmic Ointment (neomycin and polymyxin B sulfates and bacitracin zinc) is a combination of antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the eyes. The brand name Neosporin Ophthalmic Ointment is discontinued, but generic versions may be available.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- eyelid itching,
- stinging, burning, irritation, itching, or redness of the eyes for 1 to 2 minutes;
- temporary blurred vision when this medication is applied,
- eyelid swelling or crusting,
- tearing, or
- sensitivity to light.
