Necon (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol tablets)

Necon (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol) contains a combination of female hormones that prevent ovulation used as contraception to prevent pregnancy. Necon is also used to treat severe acne. Necon is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache,
- dizziness,
- vomiting,
- stomach cramping,
- bloating,
- vaginal discomfort/irritation/itching,
- breast tenderness/enlargement/swelling,
- nipple discharge,
- freckles or darkening of facial skin,
- increased hair growth,
- loss of scalp hair,
- changes in weight or appetite,
- problems with contact lenses, or
- decreased sex drive.
