Natrecor (nesiritide) is a vasodilator of the human B-type natriuretic peptide type that works by lowering blood pressure indicated for the treatment of patients with acutely decompensated heart failure who have difficulty breathing (dyspnea) at rest or with minimal activity.
The drug is often used to treat Heart failure .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- lightheadedness,
- confusion,
- chest pain,
- fainting,
- fever, and
- fast, slow, or irregular heartbeats,
- urinating less than usual,
- unusual weakness or tiredness
