Naropin (ropivacaine hcl)

Naropin (ropivacaine hcl) is used as a local (in only one area) anesthesia for a spinal block, also called an epidural. Naropin is used to provide anesthesia during a surgery or C-section, or to ease labor pains.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- headache,
- vomiting,
- itching,
- fever,
- back pain,
- numbness or tingly feeling, or
- problems with urination or sexual function.
The following drugs are related to Naropin, either as a replacement or used together:
- Lixtraxen (lidocaine hydrochloride and epinephrine injection)
