Naphcon A (naphazoline hydrochloride and pheniramine maleate) is a combination of a decongestant/redness reliever and an antihistamine used for the temporary relief of redness and itching of the eye(s) due to ragweed pollen, grass, and animal dander and hair. Naphcon A is available over-the-counter (OTC).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- eye pain, and
- ongoing or worsening eye redness,
- changes in your vision

- Claritin (loratadine)
- Claritin D (loratadine and pseudoephedrine)
- Zaditen (ketotifen hydrogen fumarate eye drops)
