Myfortic (mycophenolic acid)

Myfortic (mycophenolic acid) is an immunosuppressive agent used to prevent the body from rejecting a kidney transplant. Myfortic is usually given with cyclosporine and a steroid medication.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • headache,
  • dizziness,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • constipation,
  • trouble sleeping (insomnia),
  • weight gain,
  • back pain,
  • gas,
  • stomach upset,
  • anxiety, or
  • joint or muscle pain,
  • swelling in your hands or feet.
