Mycapssa (octreotide oral capsules)
type of Somatostatin Analogs
Mycapssa (octreotide) is a somatostatin analog indicated for long-term maintenance treatment in acromegaly patients who have responded to and tolerated treatment with octreotide or lanreotide.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- dark urine,
- vomiting,
- fever,
- chills,
- clay-colored stools,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- dizziness,
- dry mouth,
- headache,
- sweating,
- increased thirst,
- increased urination,
- fruity breath odor,
- anxiety,
- extreme tiredness,
- irritability,
- fast heart rate,
- hunger,
- dry skin,
- severe pain in your upper stomach spreading to your back,
- hoarse voice,
- severe constipation,
- muscle pain or weakness,
- slow or uneven heartbeats,
- weight gain
- shakiness,
- joint pain or stiffness,
- increased sensitivity to cold temperatures, and
