Mivacron (mivacurium chloride injection)

Mivacron (mivacurium chloride) Injection is a short-acting, nondepolarizing skeletal muscle relaxant for intravenous (IV) administration used for inpatients and outpatients, as an adjunct to general anesthesia, to facilitate tracheal intubation and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• rash,
• dizziness,
• muscle spasm,
• injection site reactions,
• skin flushing or redness,
• transient low blood pressure,
• transient rapid heart rate,
• bronchospasm,
• wheezing, or
• severe allergic reaction

• Nimbex (cisatracurium besylate injection)
