Pyrukynd (mitapivat) is a pyruvate kinase activator indicated for the treatment of hemolytic anemia in adults with pyruvate kinase (PK) deficiency. 

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • dizziness,
  • shortness of breath
  • hives, 
  • difficulty breathing, 
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, 
  • confusion, 
  • dark colored urine, 
  • yellow of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
  • tiredness, and
The following drugs are related to Pyrukynd, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Dexamethasone (dexamethasone)
  • Dxevo (dexamethasone tablets)
  • Kenalog-40 Injection (triamcinolone acetonide injectable suspension)
