Mifeprex (mifepristone (ru486))

type of Antiprogestins, Cortisol Receptor Blockers

Mifeprex (mifepristone) is a synthetic steroid indicated for the medical termination of intrauterine pregnancy through 49 days of pregnancy. Mifeprex Tablets are available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • fast heartbeats,
  • weakness, and
  • severe or ongoing nausea,
  • general ill feeling,
  • a fever higher than 100.4 degrees (38 degrees C), lasting longer than 4 hours,
  • severe pelvic pain or tenderness,
  • no vaginal bleeding at all after taking Mifeprex RU486
The following drugs are related to Mifeprex, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Hemabate (carboprost tromethamine)
  • Prostin E2 (dinoprostone vaginal suppository)
  • HyperRHO Mini-Dose (rho(d) immune globulin (human) intramuscular administration)
  • Isturisa (osilodrostat tablets, for oral use)
  • Plan B One-Step (levonorgestrel tablet)
