Mycamine (micafungin sodium)

Mycamine (micafungin sodium) is an antifungal medication used to treat infections caused by the Candida fungus, and is also used to prevent Candida fungal infections in stem cell transplant patients.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• upper stomach pain,
• loss of appetite,
• itching,
• clay-colored stools, and
• yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
• fever,
• confusion,
• swelling,
• weakness,
• little or no urination,
• dark colored urine,
• rapid weight gain,
• pale or yellowed skin,

• Eraxis (anidulafungin)
• Cancidas (caspofungin acetate for injection)
• Diflucan (fluconazole)
