MetroLotion (metronidazole lotion) is a topical (for the skin) antibiotic used to treat skin lesions caused by rosacea. MetroLotion is available in generic form.

The drug is often used to treat Rosacea .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, and
• severe stinging or burning after application
