Myalept (metreleptin) for Injection is a recombinant human leptin analog used as an adjunct to diet as replacement therapy to treat the complications of leptin deficiency in patients with congenital or acquired generalized lipodystrophy.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • diarrhea,
  • weight loss,
  • dizziness,
  • joint pain,
  • back pain,
  • headache,
  • fatigue,
  • abdominal pain,
  • ear infection,
  • fever.
  • numbness and tingling,
  • anemia,
  • low blood sugar,
  • ovarian cysts,
  • upper respiratory tract infections,
  • high levels of protein in the urine, and
