Zaroxolyn (metolazone tablets)

Zaroxolyn (metolazone tablets) is a quinazoline class diuretic/antihypertensive drug used to treat salt and water retention including edema accompanying congestive heart failure, and edema accompanying renal diseases, including the nephrotic syndrome and states of diminished renal function. Zaroxolyn is also used to treat hypertension, alone or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs of a different class. Zaroxolyn is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:

- upper stomach pain,

- dark urine,

- easy bruising,
- unusual bleeding,

- clay-colored stools,
- chest pain,
- numbness,
- tingling,
- fluttering in your chest,
- constipation,
- dry mouth,
- headache,
- weakness,
- restlessness,
- sore throat,
- little or no urination,
- muscle weakness,
- drowsiness,
- irregular heartbeats,
- pounding heartbeats,
- slurred speech,
- increased thirst or urination,
- burning in your eyes, and
- severe weakness,
- loss of coordination,
- feeling unsteady,
- muscle pain,
- leg cramps,
- limp feeling,
- lack of energy,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes,
