Reglan Injection (metoclopramide injection)

Reglan Injection (metoclopramide) is a prokinetic drug used for the relief of symptoms associated with acute and recurrent diabetic gastric stasis, to prevent nausea and vomiting from chemotherapy, to prevent postoperative nausea and vomiting, to facilitate small bowel intubation, and to stimulate gastric emptying. Reglan Injection is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• confusion,
• dizziness,
• constipation,
• dry mouth,
• headache,
• fatigue,
• restlessness,
• drowsiness,
• nipple discharge,
• trouble sleeping (insomnia),
• breast swelling or tenderness,
• skin flushing,
• skin rash or itching, or
• injection site reactions (pain, itching, burning, swelling or a lump)
