Methylin Chewable Tablets (methylphenidate HCl) is a central nervous system stimulant used to treat attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and narcolepsy.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• headache,
• sweating,
• lightheadedness,
• dizziness,
• vomiting,
• constipation,
• skin rash,
• loss of appetite,
• nervousness,
• weight loss,
• stomach pain,
• dry mouth,
• trouble sleeping (insomnia),
• vision problems, 
• irritability,
• numbness or tingling in the hands or feet, or
• (rarely) drowsiness.
