Metvixia (methyl aminolevulinate cream)

Metvixia (methyl aminolevulinate) Cream, 16.8% makes your skin more sensitive to light and is used in combination with red light therapy to treat a skin condition called actinic keratosis of the face and scalp. The brand name Metvixia Cream is discontinued, but generic versions may be available.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- burning
- warmth
- mild skin redness
- stinging, or swelling
- puffy eyes
- slight pain; or itching, peeling, scabs, blisters, or crusting of
treated skin
