Methyclothiazide (methyclothiazide tablet 5 mg)

Methyclothiazide is a thiazide diuretic/antihypertensive used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), and is also used as adjunctive therapy in edema associated with congestive heart failure, hepatic cirrhosis, corticosteroid and estrogen therapy, and various forms of renal dysfunction such as nephritic syndrome, acute glomerulonephritis, and chronic renal failure.
The drug is often used to treat Cirrhosis .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- loss of appetite,
- lightheadedness,
- dizziness,
- blurred vision,
- headache,
- stomach upset,
- diarrhea, or constipation as your body adjusts to the medication
