Oxsoralen (methoxsalen lotion)

Oxsoralen (methoxsalen lotion) is a topical repigmenting agent used in vitiligo in conjunction with controlled doses of ultraviolet A (320-400 nm) or sunlight.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• itching,
• rash,
• nervousness,
• mood changes,
• depression,
• skin sores,
• blurred vision, and
• decreased vision,
• severe dizziness,
• severe reddening of the skin,
• blistering, peeling, or burning of the skin,
• thinning or wrinkling of the skin,
• painful browning, whitening, yellowing of nails,
• swollen ankles,
• unusual growths or moles,
• severe burns of the treated area from overexposure to UVA, including sunlight
