Otrexup (methotrexate injection)

Otrexup (methotrexate) Injection is a folate analog metabolic inhibitor used in adults to manage severe, active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) (ACR criteria), or children with active polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis (pJIA), who have had an insufficient therapeutic response to, or are intolerant of, an adequate trial of first-line therapy including full dose nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents (NSAIDs). Otrexup is also used for the symptomatic control of severe, recalcitrant, disabling psoriasis that is not adequately responsive to other forms of therapy.
The drug is often used to treat Arthritis , Psoriasis .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- vomiting,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- night sweats,
- pale skin,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- cold hands and feet,
- weight loss,
- confusion,
- chills,
- tiredness,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- vision problems,
- seizure,
- headache,
- wheezing,
- weakness,
- trouble swallowing,
- sore throat,
- skin pain,
- little or no urination,
- swelling in your feet or ankles,
- drowsiness,
- muscle cramps,
- right-sided upper stomach pain,
- irritableness,
- burning in your eyes,
- red or swollen gums,
- red or purple skin rash that spreads and causes blistering and peeling,
- tingling in your hands and feet or around your mouth
- cough with mucus,
- neck stiffness,
- dry cough,
- fast or slow heart rate, and
- blood in your urine or stools,
- swelling around your midsection,
- blisters or ulcers in your mouth,
- sudden chest pain,
- loss of movement in any part of your body,
- swollen lymph glands,
- coordination problems,
- skin changes (redness, warmth, swelling, or oozing),
- bruising or bleeding,
