Methadose (methadone hydrochloride tablets)

Methadose is indicated to relieve moderate to severe pain that has not been relieved by non-narcotic pain relievers. Methadose also is used to prevent withdrawal symptoms in patients who were addicted to opiate drugs and are enrolled in treatment programs.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• stomach pain,
• dizziness,
• constipation,
• dry mouth,
• nervousness,
• sweating,
• weakness,
• restlessness,
• flushing,
• drowsiness,
• anxiety,
• sleep problems (insomnia),
• decreased sex drive,
• lack of appetite,
• impotence, or
• difficulty having an orgasm
