Metadate ER (methylphenidate hydrochloride extended release tablet)

Metadate ER (methylphenidate hydrochloride) Tablet Extended Release is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant used to treat attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and narcolepsy.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- chest pain,
- nausea,
- headache,
- sweating,
- lightheadedness,
- dizziness,
- vomiting,
- constipation,
- skin rash,
- loss of appetite,
- nervousness,
- weight loss,
- stomach pain,
- dry mouth,
- trouble sleeping (insomnia),
- irritability,
- fast heart rate,
- blurred vision or other vision problems,
- numbness/tingling/cold in your hands or feet,
- nervous feeling,
- heart palpitations,
- difficulty moving (dyskinesia),
- blood pressure changes,
- abdominal pain, or
- (rarely) drowsiness.
