Mestinon (pyridostigmine)

Mestinon (pyridostigmine) is a cholinesterase inhibitor used to treat the symptoms of myasthenia gravis. Mestinon is also used in military personnel who have been exposed to nerve gas. Mestinon is available in generic form.
The drug is often used to treat Myasthenia gravis .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- diarrhea,
- pale skin,
- upset stomach,
- watery eyes,
- increased urination,
- abdominal cramps,
- increased saliva/mucus,
- decreased pupil size,
- increased sweating or cold sweat,
- warmth or tingly feeling, or
- rash or itching.
