Namzaric (memantine hydrochloride extended-release and donepezil hydrochloride) is a combination of an orally active NMDA receptor antagonist, and a reversible inhibitor of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, used to treat moderate to severe dementia of the Alzheimer's type in patients stabilized on memantine hydrochloride and donepezil hydrochloride.

The drug is often used to treat Dementia .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• lightheadedness,
• stomach pain,
• painful or difficult urination,
• seizures,
• bloody or tarry stools,
• severe heartburn,
• coughing up blood, and
• vomit that looks like coffee grounds
• severe or ongoing vomiting,
• slow heartbeats,
• new or worsening breathing problems,
