Mellaril (thioridazine hcl)

Mellaril (thioridazine HCl) is an anti-psychotic medication in the phenothiazine class used to treat psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia, and is usually given after other medications have been tried without successful treatment of schizophrenia.

The drug is often used to treat Schizophrenia .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• dizziness,
• blurred vision,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• headache,
• restlessness,
• constipation,
• drowsiness,
• dry mouth,
• weight gain,
• stuffy nose,
• impotence,
• itching or skin rash
• swelling in your hands or feet,
• difficulty urinating,
• trouble having an orgasm,
• changes in your menstrual periods,
• breast swelling or discharge,
• increased or decreased interest in sex, or
