Mekinist (trametinib tablets)
type of Antineoplastics MEK Inhibitors
Mekinist (trametinib) is a kinase inhibitor used to treat patients with melanoma with BRAF V600E or V600K mutations that are metastatic or unable to be removed by surgery (unresectable).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- fever,
- pale skin,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- chills,
- stomach pain,
- chest pain,
- dizziness,
- severe headache,
- blurred vision,
- headache,
- weakness,
- cough,
- little or no urination,
- sudden cough,
- vision changes,
- bloody or tarry stools,
- coughing up blood,
- increased thirst or urination,
- eye pain or swelling,
- seeing halos around lights,
- vomit that looks coffee grounds,
- severe skin rash,
- swelling in your feet or ankles
- seeing color “dots” in your vision,
- skin pain or swelling,
- severe diarrhea,
- pounding heartbeats, and
- pain or swelling in an arm or leg,
- cold feeling in an arm or leg,
- redness and peeling skin or your hands or feet,
