Sulfamylon (mafenide acetate)

Sulfamylon (mafenide acetate) is a topical (for the skin) antibiotic used to prevent infection in severe burn wounds.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- fever,
- skin rash,
- confusion,
- rapid breathing,
- numbness,
- weakness,
- dark colored urine,
- pain,
- pale or yellowed skin,
- bruising,
- severe tingling,
- muscle weakness, and
- severe skin irritation where the medicine is applied
