Surfaxin (lucinactant) is a surfactant indicated for the prevention of respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), a breathing disorder that affects premature infants.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- intraventricular hemorrhage
- sepsis
- patent ductus arteriosus
- retinopathy
- necrotizing enterocolitis and
- lung problems
