Livmarli (maralixibat) is an ileal bile acid transporter (IBAT) inhibitor used to treat cholestatic pruritus (itching) in patients with Alagille syndrome (ALGS) 1 year of age and older. 

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • loss of appetite,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • stomach pain,
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
  • gastrointestinal bleeding
  • changes or worsening liver test results,
  • dark or brown urine,
  • pain in the right side of your abdomen,
  • bone fractures, and
