Livalo (pitavastatin)

Livalo (pitavastatin) is a statin drug used to improve blood cholesterol levels in persons with elevated or abnormal blood cholesterol levels.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• loss of appetite,
• clay-colored stools, and
• yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
• vomiting,
• confusion,
• tiredness,
• swelling,
• unusual tiredness,
• stomach pain (upper right side),
• unexplained muscle pain,
• dark colored urine,
• rapid weight gain,
• memory problems,
• little or no urinating,
• pain in your side or lower back,
• tenderness or weakness with fever,
