Thyrolar (liotrix)

Thyrolar Tablets (liotrix) is a synthetic thyroid hormone used to treat hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone), and to treat or prevent goiter (enlarged thyroid gland). Thyrolar is also given as part of medical testing for thyroid disorders.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• temporary hair loss (especially in children) during the first few months of starting this drug.

• Synthroid (levothyroxine sodium)

• Triostat (liothyronine sodium injection)
• Tepezza (teprotumumab-trbw for injection, for intravenous use)
• Westhroid (thyroid tablets, usp)
