Linzess (linaclotide capsules)
type of IBS Agents, Gastrointestinals, Guanylate Cyclase-C Agonists
Linzess (linaclotide) is a guanylate cyclase-C agonist indicated for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) in adults, chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC) in adults, and functional constipation (FC) in pediatric patients 6 to 17 years of age.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- diarrhea,
- headache, and
- abdominal pain,
- gas,
- bloating,
- viral gastroenteritis.
