Xylocaine Viscous 2% (lidocaine hydrochloride) is a local anesthetic indicated to provide the
topical relief of pain and discomfort. Xylocaine Viscous 2% is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea, and
• dizziness.
• application site reactions (irritation, redness, swelling, stinging, burning),
  
• numbness in places where the medicine is accidentally applied,
