Oraqix (lidocaine and prilocaine) Periodontal Gel is an amide local anesthetic used for adults who require localized anesthesia in periodontal pockets during scaling and/or root planing.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache
- fatigue
- changes in taste
- nausea, and
The following drugs are related to Oraqix, either as a replacement or used together:
- Peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate 0.12% oral rinse)
- Periogard (chlorhexidine gluconate oral rinse)
- Periostat (doxycycline hyclate)
