Lexiscan (regadenoson) injection is a stress agent that works by increasing blood flow in the arteries of the heart given in preparation for a radiologic (x-ray) examination of blood flow through the heart to test for coronary artery disease.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• lightheadedness,
• fast heartbeats,
• pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
• seizure,
• severe headache,
• pounding in your neck or ears,
• wheezing,
• chest pain or pressure,
• trouble breathing,
• chest tightness,
• severe dizziness,
• slurred speech, and
• sudden numbness or weakness (especially on side of the body),
• warmth or tingly feeling,
• balance problems

The following drugs are related to Lexiscan, either as a replacement or used together:

• Xenoview (xenon xe 129 gas blend)
