Thyro-Tabs (levothyroxine sodium)

Thyro-Tabs (levothyroxine sodium) tablets are L-thyroxine (T4) indicated as replacement therapy in primary (thyroidal), secondary (pituitary), and tertiary (hypothalamic) con genital or acquired hypothyroidism; and as an adjunct to surgery and radioiodine therapy in the management of thyrotropin-dependent well-differentiated thyroid cancer.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- diarrhea,
- shortness of breath,
- tiredness,
- chest pain,
- headache,
- nervousness,
- mood changes,
- shaking,
- swelling hands, ankles, or feet,
- severe dizziness
- increased sweating,
- bone pain,
- mood swings,
- seizures, and
- fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat,
- sensitivity to heat,
- easily broken bones,
The following drugs are related to Thyro-Tabs, either as a replacement or used together:
- Pacerone (amiodarone hcl tablets)
- Targretin (bexarotene)
- Videx (didanosine pediatric powder for oral solution)
- Tapazole (methimazole)
