Levothyroxine sodium (levothyroxine sodium anhydrous injection) is an L-thyroxine product indicated for the treatment of myxedema coma. Levothyroxine sodium is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• diarrhea
• sweating
• fever, and
• tremors
• weight loss
• fast heart rate
• palpitations
• nervousness
• insomnia
• menstrual irregularities
• exophthalmic goiter
• increased appetite
• abdominal cramps
• increased pulse and blood pressure
• cardiac arrhythmias
• angina pectoris
• heat intolerance
