Levora (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets)

Levora (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol) is a combination of female hormones used as a contraceptive to prevent pregnancy. Some doses of Levora are available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• headache,
• dizziness,
• vomiting,
• nipple discharge,
• freckles or darkening of facial skin,
• increased hair growth,
• loss of scalp hair,
• changes in weight or appetite,
• problems with contact lenses, or
• decreased sex drive.
• breast tenderness or swelling,
• Acne may improve or get worse.
• nausea (especially when you first start taking Levora),
• stomach cramping/bloating,
• vaginal discomfort/irritation/itching/discharge,
• Many women will not have regular menstrual periods while taking Levora. This is normal.
  
• Vaginal bleeding/spotting is likely to occur, especially during the first few months of Levora use.
