Levolet (levothyroxine sodium tablets)

Levolet (levothyroxine sodium) is levothyroxine sodium (T4) indicated as replacement therapy in primary (thyroidal), secondary (pituitary), and tertiary (hypothalamic) congenital or acquired hypothyroidism; and for pituitary thyrotropin (thyroid-stimulating hormone, TSH) suppression as an adjunct to surgery and radioiodine therapy in the management of thyrotropin-dependent well-differentiated thyroid cancer.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • diarrhea,
  • shortness of breath,
  • headache,
  • nervousness,
  • weight loss,
  • irritability,
  • insomnia,
  • skin rash
  • increased appetite, 
  • muscle weakness, 
  • tremors, 
  • muscle spasm,
  • irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias)
  • heart attack (myocardial infarction), 
  • heat intolerance, 
  • menstrual irregularities, and
