Lupron Depot Pediatric (leuprolide acetate injection)

Lupron Depot Pediatric (leuprolide acetate) is a manmade form of a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH or LH-RH) used to treat precocious (early-onset) puberty in both male and female children.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• skin redness,
• nausea,
• rash,
• diarrhea,
• night sweats,
• chills,
• stomach pain,
• dizziness,
• constipation,
• weakness,
• hot flashes,
• sleep problems (insomnia),
• loss of interest in sex,
• impotence,
• memory problems,
• tired feeling,
• vaginal itching or discharge,
• acne,
• joint or muscle pain,
• headache, or
• increased growth of facial hair,
• clammy skin,
• skin itching or scaling,
• breast swelling or tenderness,
• testicle pain,
• depression, mood swings,
• injection site reactions (redness, burning, itching, swelling, or abscess).
