Leukine (sargramostim)

Leukine (sargramostim) is a protein that stimulates the production of white blood cells used to increase white blood cells and decrease the risk of infection in conditions such as cancer, bone marrow transplant, and pre-chemotherapy blood cell collection.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- itching,
- dark urine,
- easy bruising,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- fast heartbeats,
- tiredness,
- clay-colored stools,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- dizziness,
- severe headache,
- blurred vision,
- pounding in your neck or ears,
- sweating,
- chest pain or pressure,
- stomach pain (upper right side),
- nosebleed,
- anxiety,
- decreased urination,
- chest tightness,
- fast or slow heartbeats,
- pain when you breathe,
- pain or burning when you urinate,
- unusual bleeding, and
- thirst,
- stuffy or runny nose,
- sudden swelling or weight gain,
- shortness of breath when lying down,
- purple or red spots under your skin
