Leucovorin Calcium is a form of folic acid used to reduce the side effects of large doses or accidental overdose of medications that can reduce the effects of folic acid in the body. These medications include methotrexate, pyrimethamine, trimethoprim, and others. Leucovorin Calcium is available in generic form. Many people using Leucovorin Calcium do not have serious side effects.
