Zurampic (lesinurad tablets)

type of Selective Uric acid Reabsorption Inhibitor (SURI)

Zurampic (lesinurad) is a URAT1 inhibitor indicated in combination with a xanthine oxidase inhibitor for the treatment of hyperuricemia associated with gout in patients who have not achieved target serum uric acid levels with a xanthine oxidase inhibitor alone.

The drug is often used to treat Gout .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• shortness of breath,
• tiredness,
• pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
• joint pain,
• chest pain or pressure,
• little or no urination,
• swelling in your feet or ankles,
• sudden numbness or weakness,
• problems with vision or speech, and
• swelling or redness in an arm or leg
• joint stiffness, redness or swelling (especially at night),
