Sunlenca (lenacapavir tablets and injection)

Sunlenca (lenacapavir), a human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) capsid inhibitor, in combination with other antiretroviral(s), is indicated for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in heavily treatment-experienced adults with multidrug resistant HIV-1 infection failing their current antiretroviral regimen due to resistance, intolerance, or safety considerations.
The drug is often used to treat HIV .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- rash,
- vomiting,
- shortness of breath,
- weight loss,
- fatigue,
- little or no urination,
- muscle weakness,
- irregular heartbeats,
- anxiety,
- tremors,
- difficulty speaking,
- puffy eyes,
- muscle stiffness,
- muscle pain,
- difficulty swallowing,
- abdominal pain or cramping,
- increased sensitivity to heat,
- problems with coordination,
- joint pain and stiffness,
- yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice),
- enlarged thyroid,
- trouble catching your breath,
- difficulty walking,
- slow reflexes,
- facial muscle weakness,
- loss of menstrual periods, and
- swollen blood vessels in the skin
