Xalatan (latanoprost ophthalmic)

Xalatan (latanoprost) is a prostaglandin analogue ophthalmic solution used to treat pressure in the eye (glaucoma, ocular hypertension) by decreasing liquid in the eye. Xalantan is available as a generic drug.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • increased sensitivity to light,
  • vision changes, and
  • severe burning, stinging, or irritation after using the medicine
  • eye swelling, redness, severe discomfort, crusting or drainage,
  • red, swollen or itchy eyelids,
