Vimpat (lacosamide) is an antiepileptic drug used together with other medications to treat partial-onset seizures in people with epilepsy who are at least 17 years old.

The drug is often used to treat Epilepsy .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • fever,
  • swollen glands,
  • skin rash,
  • lightheadedness,
  • shortness of breath,
  • chest pain,
  • muscle aches,
  • agitation,
  • restlessness,
  • anxiety,
  • panic attacks,
  • trouble sleeping,
  • impulsive behavior,
  • irritableness,
  • mood or behavior changes,
  • depression,
  • thoughts of suicide,
  • fast or pounding heartbeats,
  • severe weakness,
  • unusual bruising,
  • yellowing of your skin or eyes (jaundice),
  • dark urine
  • severe dizziness,
  • hyperactive (mentally or physically),
  • hostile or aggressive behavior,
  • problems with your balance or muscle movement,
