Krintafel (tafenoquine tablets)

Krintafel (tafenoquine) is an antimalarial indicated for the radical cure (prevention of relapse) of Plasmodium vivax malaria in patients aged 16 years and older who are receiving appropriate antimalarial therapy for acute P. vivax infection.

The drug is often used to treat Malaria .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • lightheadedness,
  • shortness of breath,
  • confusion,
  • fast heartbeats,
  • tiredness,
  • dizziness,
  • headache,
  • dark colored urine,
  • anxiety,
  • pale or yellowed skin,
  • trouble sleeping
  • strange dreams, and
  • darkening of your mouth, lips, or fingernails,

  • ACAM2000 (smallpox (vaccinia) vaccine, live)
  • Malarone (atovaquone and proguanil hcl)
  • Doxycycline Hyclate (doxycycline hyclate delayed-release tablets)
