Konvomep (omeprazole and sodium bicarbonate for oral suspension) is a combination of a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) and sodium bicarbonate indicated in adults for treatment of active benign gastric ulcer and for reduction of risk of upper gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding in critically ill patients.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• nausea,
• loss of appetite,
• rash,
• fever,
• pale skin,
• lightheadedness,
• shortness of breath,
• confusion,
• dizziness,
• weight gain,
• joint pain,
• muscle weakness,
• muscle cramps,
• seizures,
• severe stomach pain,
• irregular heartbeats,
• muscle spasms,
• diarrhea that is watery or bloody,
• feeling jittery,
• cough or choking feeling,
• blood in your urine,
• mood changes
• tiredness, and
• skin rash on your cheeks or arms that worsens in sunlight,
• urinating less than usual,
• new or unusual pain in your wrist, back, hip, or thigh,
• muscle twitching or tremor,
• numbness or tingling in your face, arms, or legs,
