Kombiglyze XR (saxagliptin and metformin hcl extended-release)

Kombiglyze XR (saxagliptin and metformin hydrochloride) Extended-release Tablets is a combination drug indicated, along with diet and exercise, as a treatment for type 2 diabetes in adults. Kombiglyze XR is NOT indicated for use in type 1 diabetics or diabetic ketoacidosis. Kombiglyze XR is a combination of two prescription medications called saxagliptin and metformin hydrochloride that are available as generic drugs.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- itching,
- vomiting,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- fast heartbeats,
- tiredness,
- stomach pain,
- dizziness,
- weakness,
- feeling cold,
- pain or burning when you urinate,
- severe pain in your upper stomach spreading to your back,
- blisters,
- rapid weight gain
- unusual muscle pain,
- irregular heart rate,
- peeling skin,
- swelling in your legs or feet, and
- breakdown of the outer layer of skin,
- severe or ongoing pain in your joints,
